Muslim Welfare Organization is a non-government social organization. It is established in 1999 for socioeconomically back ward rural men and women of the country. Muslim Welfare Organization is also strongly committed to work as a development partner with the government and many other development organizations to build a strong nation. Subsequently the organization registered with the department of Social Services. NGO Affairs Bureau Registration no-1878/2003 and Department of Social Service Registration no-913/1999. Government of the republic of Bangladesh and its aim is to create a self-reliant development process among the poor people within the purview of the Government policy to alleviate poverty.
Muslim Welfare Organization is a rights-based development organization. It especially focuses on Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh. Since its inception, the Muslim Welfare Organization firmly believes that people are at the center of concerns for sustainable development. According to the Muslim Welfare Organization, the rights-based approach is concerned not just with civil and political rights but also with social, economic, and cultural rights.
The three principles that Muslim Welfare Organization follows and perhaps all the rights-based organizations follow are: participation of all the stakeholders, inclusion of the needs of all the deprived segments of the population, and fulfilling their obligations.
